JavaESB
v1 allows ESB developed expert systems to be deployed onto the internet.
Unlike JavaESB 2.0 it uses version 1.0 of Sun's Microsystems Java
Technology. This version of JavaESB remains available for those
users who are concerned about installing Java 2.0 technology onto
their users machines (Java 1.0 technology is available on most platforms
by default whereas Java 2.0 needs to be installed separately). The
underlying functionality is the same as the PC based versions of
ESB and JavaESB v2 but the user interface is less configurable.
Demonstration
The following demonstration
illustrates the capabilities of JavaESB
v1. The system in this demonstration is an
implementation of the one suggested on the main page of this site
i.e. a system to recommend books on the subject of artificial intelligence.
Deployment
JavaESB©
v1 systems are simple to deploy (although
there is no 'Windows Like' automatic installer). The system is
first developed and tested with the standard PC based ESB. The
system files created using standard ESB are then uploaded (using
FTP) to the target site together with the JavaESB
files. The HTML page that displays JavaESB©
(and your system) needs to be configured with some simple parameters,
a full description of which are supplied in the instructions contained
within the download. There is no Java programming experience needed
although experience of HTML will help.

v1 is now FREEWARE. You are free to use it
without fee subject to the terms of the FREEWARE license listed
on the download page..
